Mr. Luis Navarro has been working as a public speaker,
interpreter, and translator for 25 plus years in Louisiana, New York,
Georgia, South Carolina, Mexico and Ecuador. He has interpreted for civil and
criminal courts, other state and local governmental agencies, private
attorneys, hospitals and businesses.
He moved to Augusta, Georgia in 2003, and is
currently the only certified court interpreter in the Augusta Judicial
Circuit serving Augusta, Burke and Columbia counties. He also interprets for the
South Carolina 2nd Judicial Circuit in Aiken, Barnwell and Bamberg.
His daily courtroom activity gives him
an understanding of not just the language issues with legalese, but the
dynamics of a court room setting.
He has spoken in multiple conferences and conventions in many countries. He provided
interpreter and cultural training for the South Carolina Summary Judges'
Conference in 2005 and 2006, Aiken Leadership Council in 2007, South Carolina
Department of Mental Health in 2007 and Augusta State University’s Alpha Mu
Gamma Chapter in 2008.
He has lived and traveled extensively all over
North and South America and Mexico, even hosting his own daily radio talk
show in Ecuador.
